Trends in Tequila

Trends in Tequila over the years:

  1. Premiumization: More and more consumers are willing to pay a higher price for a higher quality, ultra-premium tequila. This trend has led to the development of more complex and nuanced tequila flavors.

  2. Sustainability: Consumers are increasingly interested in environmentally and socially responsible practices, and this trend extends to the production of tequila. Many tequila producers are focusing on sustainable agriculture and production methods.

  3. Flavored tequilas: While traditional tequila is made from 100% blue agave, there has been an increase in the production of flavored tequilas that use other types of agave or incorporate additional flavors.

4. Tequila cocktails: Tequila is no longer just being used for shots and margaritas. It is increasingly being used in a variety of cocktails, such as palomas, tequila sunrises, and tequila sours

.

5. Artisanal production: There has been a trend towards small-batch, artisanal production of tequila, with an emphasis on traditional production methods and local ingredients.
